So far, well above expectations.... and it's super quiet!
I had a Danby countertop dishwasher that I used for about 4 years and I loved it. I despise doing dishes so these portable dishwashers are a godsend for me as I am still renting and I don't have the option of a conventional built in dishwasher. I ended up getting a new dish set about a year ago, but unfortunantly because the set has square plates, the larger plates did not fit in the countertop. I had to angle them in a weird way and it was just a hassel..... So I finally decided to get a new, bigger dishwasher that I was hoping would be able to accomodate my square plates.

Enter the SPT dishwasher.... I was a little skepticle buying a dishwasher from A) A brand I was not too familiar with, and B) One that did not have any reviews yet. Well, after using it for a few days, I am in love with this thing. It looks great, much better than the old Danby countertop, and it sits at the perfect height with my counters. The power cord and the water hoses having a storage...

Better than ever expected.
* Update 10/01/12 * All changes will have a " * " : Still just as good, an excellent dishwasher. I use the "speed" setting for everything with Cascade all-in-one tablets in the holder [basket] all the time and a 65 min wash is just as good as the all-in-one 2:10 wash for almost everything including 3 day dried chili pots and bowls. I do put the tablets in the door holder when using any other setting. If you need "dry" dishes use the normal setting. If you can crack the door and wait a few minutes the speed setting is just fine. Heavy setting pulled rust off old hand tools using two tablets and vinegar.

* Do: Clean the filter every two weeks or after lots of vegetable matter. A simple rinse in the sink is just fine. Takes about a minute.

* Gray water usage: The discharged soap and water can be used to clean parts that will not fit in the dishwasher. I use the gray water from the dishwasher (by stopping the sink or a 5 gal bucket in the sink) to remove carbon from...

Great little unit
I initially received the wrong color dishwasher but the seller fixed the issue very promptly and was very courteous.

The dishwasher itself is great, it is very quiet and cleans well. The only issue is I wish that some of the prongs were further apart so that we could fit some fatter items into the dishwasher (pot lids etc.). The dishwasher is a great size for our small kitchen, it wheels around well and the stainless steel inside is great. So far there have been no problems!

I'm truly impressed!
There are two nearly identical models. This one (SHE43R5XUC) and the SHE43RFXUC. They look identical except that the rightmost button is labelled differently, because each has a cycle the other lacks. This one ("5") has a half-load cycle whereas the other ("F") has an express cycle (for glassware and lightly soiled plates to be reused at the same party).

I have an "F". I never thought I'd be writing a review for a dishwasher, but I'm truly impressed.

I picked this unit for what might seem the strangest of reasons. We needed a black unit with racks that, unlike the unit it was replacing, would hold fragile dishes in place and not allow them to clatter and ship. Most important, we needed a unit that someone with weak hands could open easily. In a trip to a local superstore, this was the only unit that satisfied all of the requirements. It was surprising how many units were NOT easy to open with weak hands.

I don't use a dishwasher frequently...

Really cleans dishes!!
I had two Maytag's over the last 10 years and since I heard so many good things about Bosch dishwashers I decided to buy one. I always had a couple dishes in the Maytag that never got cleaned, but not the Bosch. I have put some pretty dirty pots in there and they came out spotless! One thing that is really nice is the solid bottom and the fact that you can adjust the height of the back from the front with a screw driver so installation is pretty easy. It also is super quiet when running. I would reccomend a Bosch over any other dishwasher!

Flawless! Quiet, Clean, Easy to Operate!!!
I bought this dishwasher about 6 months ago from a big box home store. I had to have a model in black finish because our refrigerator, range, and microwave all have a black finish. The second requirement was that the unit must be quiet because I was tired of our old dishwasher being so loud! We also have two small children and the buttons on this dishwasher are on the top of door and out of the way. The children are now unable to press buttons!

Exactly what I needed!
First off, I have to preface this by saying I have purchased the Wonder Washer and was greatly disappointed. This thing is a 100x better than the Wonder Washer. I own both and could not believe I wasted my money on the other washer. My needs were simple - a small washer that could wash normal items like jeans, sheets, pillow cases, bath towels... you name it. This is the washer that can do it. If you are living in a small apartment or are on a budget and are tired of schlepping clothes to the laundry every week or the endless hunt for quarters - this is for you.

The washer is the perfect size to sit on a counter top. I put mine on my kitchen counter next to the sink when I need to do the laundry. The washer is actually fairly lightweight and comes with an easy carry handle, so moving it is not difficult. It also has a top fill hole with a hose. I strongly recommend swapping the hose it comes with with a REAL hose. Go to your local aquarium supply or hardware store...

I love it!!!
I was very hesitant to purchase the machine, especially since there were no reviews yet on amazon. I was leaning towards buying the electric wonder washer but it only held about 2 pounds of clothes. Since this panda machine held 5 pounds, I decided to cross my fingers and go for this one. I just received it and have only done about 4 loads in it and I'm very impressed. The machine is made of good materials, alot of dirt comes out of the clothes, and the smelled very nice and looked clean coming out. You can fit quite alot of clothes in there too like 8 t-shirts and a bunch of undergarmets, and pajamas or a couple pairs of jeans and shirts.

In the instructions, after the wash cycle (that can be set anywhere between a minute-15 minutes depending on how soiled the clothes are ), it recommends that you wash the clothes with plain water for a rinse cycle but I found it to be quicker to just throw the clothes in the bathtub and rinse while I was doing the next load in the...

Follow the instructions! (updated)
This rice cooker works perfectly if you just follow its instructions. Ignore other reviewers' advice to follow instructions on the rice package and their complaints that it sprays slime all over your kitchen. The first is what causes the second. It sprays only if you use too much water, but if you follow the cooker's instructions (which use much less water than the rice's own instructions), the most mess you will ever get will be at the lid's vent hole - nowhere else.

I have made many batches using the maximum seven cups of uncooked rice, and the results have been perfect rice with no mess beyond the lid itself (which is NOT hard to wash, by the way) each time. It's true that the rice gets slightly toasty on the bottom of the pot, but practically all rice cookers do that, and the toasty part tastes good anyway.

Good rice, but kind of messy
My Salton rice cooker finally gave out after 8 years of use, and I replaced it with the Black & Decker Rice Cooker Plus. The good points are it is quite easy to use and can cook rice quite well. The disappointment to me is the cleanup.

Having used the Salton, I am accustomed to the starchy steam these types of cookers produce but I find this cooker to be messier than my Salton was. It "spits" all over its top, handles and even the surrounding coutertop are and floor (I have to line with paper towels to catch some of the sputter). I've tried rinsing the rice first and the performance was the same.

It is a big plus that the rice container itself is nonstick, but the lid takes some scrubbing, not just a light wash. I suppose this is a good value for the price I paid (under $30), but I think I may be upgrading soon to avoid that sticky mess.

I bought one of these because I was not happy with the Aroma plastic rice cooker that I was using.

The Aroma always burned the rice at the bottom, and the warm setting was way too hot and would continue to cook the food.

It also was made in such a way that the lid was not detachable, and therefore you couldn't clean it.

Take my word for it, when cooking rice or other things (rice cookers do a fantastic job with steel cut oatmeal BTW) food has a tendency to foam up during cooking and the steam and food particles rise up towards the vent on top.

If you have a rice cooker with a non-detachable lid, food particles get trapped up there and you can't get them out.

So when you cook a new batch of rice, the old particles can migrate down into your food. It's unsanitary.

FYI: A teaspoon of vegetable oil will help with foaming.

the worst case of company abuse
the reason for the 1 star is not because the machine is bad but the company, universal mania delivered it damamged and dented. after notifying them and lodging my complaint, they said that i dropped the machine. little did they realize that the dents were from the inside protruding out. if i had dropped the machine the dented part would have faced inward. in addition, the machine leaked because the hose was disconnected from the inside.i trouble shot this myself and reattached the hose correctly. their customer dis-service was the worst i have ever experienced. it was very obvious that their delivery people had tossed this machine around in their truck. i wrote a letter to the president and he too went on to say that i dropped the machine. i live on the ground floor and the chances of me knocking this thing over are zero to nil.they obviously have no integrity and if the president accuses you too, there is something seriously wrong. spread the word and do not purchase anything from...

No to any Aventi products
The washer was delivered on May 14, 2012. Used only for fifteen days and broke. As per instruction manual, I contacted the manufacturer (Aventi). Aventi said it wasn't their responsibility and referred me back to the seller. The seller and Aventi tossed me around and finally Aventi agreed to send a repair man for my washer. At first Aventi gave me a repair service in my area but the repair service never contacted me. I contacted Aventi, got the service man phone number and contacted him myself. From the answering machine, the service man is out for "family emergency". Aventi didn't aware the situation and insisted I should wait for the service man to contact me. I requested for a different service agency and Aventi said it will put my name back from the list and had me wait for several days. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!
I bought this washer at the end of January. The lid lock went out at the end of March. I was told by Avanti that no parts will be in the United States for this washer until June. They have agreed to try and air freight my part and have it here by the end of April (maybe). The dealer called Avanti and got the same answer. The dealer is not willing to take further action. This washer is still being sold. No one is willing to pull the part from another washer. I have had two Chinese washers. Both have problems getting parts. I will buy a more reputable washer next time.
