Y Hose To Use Outside
I have purchased this Y hose connector not for a washing machine, but for use outside for mixing water from hot and cold spigots. Great to have hot water outside to wash car, or for spray cleaning anything. Y connector allows you to do this and control temperature of the water.

Dog Wash
I, also, purchased this item in order to mix hot and cold water from outdoor spigots. I can now clean the dogs (and whatever else) during colder weather. It works like a charm!

Wash the dogs outside!
I've had one similar to this or maybe the exact same one I bought from Home Depot. It worked very well and weathered well here in Houston,TX pretty well outside; it stayed permanently affixed to the outside cold/hot faucets. I used it to clean; dogs, mops, trash cans, BBQ utensils, dirty rags, rugs, shoes, clothing, body parts (LOL, yep!)... hot water outside is a tremendous time saver & clean factor. The only parts that gave out were the ends that connect to the faucets... if those were made of the same material as the other single end I wouldn't be looking to buy another one some 8 years later... got that manufacturer?
